Lenzing Group x TreeToTextile
The Austrian company Lenzing Group has invested in Swedish fiber company TreeToTextile to help accelerate the development of a new renewable and resource-efficient cellulose fiber. This innovative fiber is designed for textile and nonwoven applications and aims to replace a portion of the cotton fiber market, significantly reducing the environmental impact of the industry.
Dr. Roxana Barbieru, CEO of TreeToTextile, expressed excitement about Lenzing Group joining their journey, stating, “We are both proud and excited to have the leading global cellulose fiber producer join us. TreeToTextile’s mission is to develop and commercialize a renewable and resource-efficient cellulose fiber that reduces chemical use, conserves water and energy, and offers enhanced fiber properties. With the support of Lenzing, which has more than 85 years of experience in scaling fiber technologies, TreeToTextile will now accelerate its next phase of growth.
