Lenzing Group, a leader in regenerated cellulosic fibers, has partnered with ROICA by Asahi Kasei, a premium stretch fiber pioneer, and Kaihara Denim, the renowned Japanese denim manufacturer, to create the “SAISEI Collection” — a premium stretch denim collection.

The collaboration brings together sustainable materials such as LENZING ECOVERO fibers, REFIBRA technology, and ROICA EF recycled stretch yarn, combined with Kaihara Denim’s craftsmanship. The collection aims to provide the international market with high-quality, recycled denim and will debut at Kingpins Amsterdam in October 2024.

Dennis Hui, Global Business Development Manager at Lenzing, emphasized the collective commitment to driving denim circularity and low-impact practices. The collaboration between ROICA EF yarn, LENZING ECOVERO fibers with REFIBRA technology, and Kaihara’s craftsmanship has led to the creation of sustainable denim fabrics that prioritize performance, style, and environmental impact.

Hiroaki Shinohe, Chief Marketing Officer of ROICA Europe, highlighted Asahi Kasei’s dedication to zero emissions and recycling, noting that ROICA EF yarns reduce CO2 emissions by 30% compared to standard yarns. The partnership with Lenzing and Kaihara Denim offers consumers eco-conscious, comfortable denimwear, showcasing a successful recycling concept that turns pre-used materials into premium denim products.
