Switzerland-based organisation the Laudes Foundation has launched a research project to reach a better understanding of the global synthetic fibres market.
It has invited organisations or consultancies to apply by March 31 to carry out the research on its behalf. Its aim is to analyse current use of synthetic fibres, how these are made and what alternatives fabric and garment manufacturers are considering.
The organisation it chooses to carry out the research will then have until May 6 to complete the exercise.
Laudes Foundation is an independent organisation that aims to “advance the transition to a just and regenerative economy”. It launched in 2020 as part of the Brenninkmeijer family enterprise and builds on six generations of entrepreneurship and philanthropy; the Brenninkmeijer family founded the C&A clothing retail group.
Under this new name, the Laudes Foundation will aim to advance the work of the C&A Foundation. It will focus on fashion and, within that, aim to transform industry, with materials and sustainability as the core focus.
