Lacoste introduces an eco-friendly polo shirt: the Loop Polo

By introducing the Loop Polo, Lacoste is bringing a sustainable twist to its classic bestseller. The eco-friendly polo shirt is unisex and is manufactured using 30% recycled cotton spun together with 70% virgin cotton.

The Lacoste Loop Polo will be launched in stores and online at lacoste.com on 22nd Feb and will retail for $135. Along with this, Lacoste will also partner with the hybrid ethical fashion retailer Maison De Mode. Amanda Heart and Hassan Pierre have confounded Maison De Mode and within the luxury sustainability market, it is a champion in empowering individuality and raising awareness on a global platform.

The closed-loop process is used in manufacturing Lacoste’s Loop Polo which implies that no two polos are identical. The polo comes in a speckled look in heather gray or midnight blue. The features include a “petit pique” texture, short sleeves, a two-button neckline, and tonal croc camouflage. It is made using recycled polyester and consumes less water during production.

In December, Lacoste joined the “Make Fashion Circular” program by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. This nonprofit association has been working since 2009 and has introduced circularity into the worldwide economic agenda by helping fashion brands become greener and by also focusing on the impact on the planet and its people.
