Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Fashion Design and Arts Council (KPFDAC) to promote the products of women entrepreneurs and rich Pakhtun culture and traditions have announced to organize a Fashion Week. The announcement was made by KPFDAC Chairperson, Muhammad Waqas Ahmad, while addressing at a news conference at press club, here on Wednesday.
The basic purpose of organizing Fashion Week is to develop a soft image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the world, besides to provide opportunity to women entrepreneurs to exhibit and promote their handicrafts and develop market linkages.
PTI MNA and Women Business Forum President, Sajida Zulfiqar, said that government is committed to promote women entrepreneurship in the province. For this purpose, a board was set up in collaboration with Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Peshawar. A comprehensive policy has also been chalked out for promotion of businesses by women in the province.
Designer Muhammad Ali, Director Mass Media, Roze Khan, Member of Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Iqbal Bano, fashion designers and women entrepreneurs attended the press conference.
The Fashion Week would be organized from May 27, in Peshawar where more than 50 women entrepreneurs along with fashion designers across the country, would be participated in the event.
