The 15th edition of the three-day Knit Show, organized by Knit Show Trade Exposition, got off to a vibrant start on Sunday. Around 400 stalls set up at the fair arena and the event attracted participation from Germany, Portugal, Poland, Japan and China apart from the manufacturers within the country showcasing latest models of textile machinery, fabrics, printing inks and apparel accessories.
The show is designed to provide a platform to link manufacturers of machinery, inks and other accessories with the buyers in Tirupur knitwear industry. The buyers get the advantage of choosing from among a wide base of products, said H. Krishna, director of Knit Show Trade Exposition.
Some of the attractions were latest versions of automatic screen printing, knitting and embroidery machines, eco-friendly microbial control and protection compounds for natural and synthetic textiles as well as fibres, printing waste water treatment systems for small and medium enterprises, zips and fasteners and fabric printing inks
This year, the show saw a considerable increase in the participation with 90,000 sq.ft. being utilized to set up the stalls vis-a-vis 56,000 sq.ft. used last year.
