Karl Mayer to integrate Santoni’s SWD technology at Nippon Mayer

Santoni, the Italian knitting machines leader producer, headquartered in the city of Brescia, Lombardy. Today Santoni meets 97% of the worldwide demand for seamless machines, whose use; make possible the development of a growing success diversified in various sectors of the garments market. Santoni has agreed with Karl Mayer to transfer its SWD technology to Nippon Mayer whose line of business includes the manufacturing of machinery for the textile industries including parts, attachments, and accessories.

Karl Mayer will integrate the SWD technology into its Double Needle Bar competence center at Japan-based Nippon Mayer and extend the relevant product range.

Nippon Mayer will take over the complete range of products including patents, the relevant manufacturing equipment as well as the entire stock of machines and spare parts.

The after sales service for the installed base of machines will be taken over by Nippon Mayer effective June 1st, 2016.

Santoni has been active in seamless warp knitting since 2004. The company developed its own range of compact machines for the application of seamless garments, medical- and lately shoe-fabrics. They hold a number of patents for machines as well as textile technology. Santoni will concentrate on and further develop its core business circular knitting.

Santoni company is related to the World of Seamless. The brand from Brescia is a World leader supplier of circular knitting machines and electronic knitting machines, suitable for the computerized design of hosiery, socks but also underwear, beachwear, outwear, sportwear and medical wear.
