ReCircled, textile recycling start-up, and Kaltex, vertically integrated denim manufacturer have partnered for a new initiative that will collect and sort used denim apparels and recycle them into new products.

Under this collaboration, ReCircled is going to administer a series of take-back programmes and work with brands and retailers on unsold items. These will then be sorted by the company and prepared for recycling. After being sorted, cleaned and de-trimmed, the products will then be moved to Kaltex for recycling into new denim fabrics and products.

The brands and retailers have the ability to create Circular Denim with a turnkey system handled from beginning to end by ReCircled and Kaltex with this textile-to-textile process.

"From the beginning we knew that collaboration was needed to build the systems that allow for recycling textiles at the highest level. With the system we now have in place, it's finally a reality, " said Scott Kuhlman, CEO of ReCircled.
