Swedish outdoor kidswear brand, Isbjörn has updated its SPF50+ Sun collection with recycled nylon. The company has introduced this initiative while refraining from the traditional methods of launching a new product.
As a part of Isbjörn’s ‘Green@Heart’ initiative, the company does not wish to add new products to its new collection but would be updating some colors and sustainability elements.
Maria Frykman Forsberg, the founder and CEO of the company stated that the company’s products offer outstanding durability and it is their silver bullet. She further adds that hearing stories from their consumers is quite humbling. She is in a deep belief that by doubling the lifespan of a garment its impact is reduced by half.
The collection for spring-summer 2021, will be made with a durable blend of recycled nylon (87%) and elastane which is Bluesign-approved fabric (13%). This range also comprises Tencel tees made from 100 percent natural fibers that contain 80% Tencel and 20% Merino wool and technical trousers made from Cordura.
Ms. Forsberg was pleased to update the sun range with recycled Nylon without impacting the performance as the company had aimed to reach this standard.
