Indorama extends Deja brand sustainability platform

Indorama Ventures (IVL) is widening the Deja brand’s portfolio of sustainable solutions. The company’s effort to satisfy the growing demand for new, high-performance products while reducing its environmental footprint is exemplified by the global sustainable ingredients brand.

As the world’s first certified carbon neutral PET pellet product, Deja Carbon Neutral PET Pellet is the newest breakthrough under IVL’s Deja global brand. It’s a major addition to Deja’s expanding portfolio, which also contains sustainable PET, rPET, polymer, and fiber ingredients in flake, pellet, fiber, and filament forms. Deja Carbon Neutral PET Pellets are processed in a sustainable manner in their supply chain, assisting environmentally friendly businesses in meeting their sustainability goals by reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions.

IVL is differentiating itself in the marketplace by delivering a performance-driven suite of sustainable solutions that helps its customers meet their sustainability goals while also adapting to end consumers’ need for openness and environmental responsibility through its Deja global, sustainable ingredient brand. IVL will fuel innovation and help consumers who want to close the loop thanks to its exclusive access to recycled sources within its own global supply chain ecosystem.

The Deja brand platform is inspired by IVL’s vision of being a world-class chemical business that creates great goods for society, which is backed up by an ambitious goal of using renewable electricity for 25% of overall energy consumption.

IVL has committed USD 1.5 billion to achieve its sustainability targets in order to do so. Deja fiber and polymer products have good performance and flexibility while still being environmentally friendly. They can be used in a wide variety of applications in the hygiene, lifestyle, automobile, and packaging industries, while also following the stringent requirements of these specialized industries.

From cradle to IVL’s plant gates, Deja Carbon Neutral is a PET proposition with zero raw material emissions. It comes with a carbon-free certification of conformity from nationally recognized providers that has been independently tested. IVL offsets inevitable carbon emissions through initiatives that help change lives and improve the atmosphere, thanks to a collaboration with South Pole, a pioneering infrastructure creator, and supplier of global climate solutions.

CEO of Indorama Ventures, D. K. Agarwal said that they’re delighted to see the DEJA low carbon performance PET, rPET, and polymer brand platform continue to expand. Deja ensures sustainability across the supply chain by providing converters with integrity, suppliers with accreditation, and end-users with the guarantee of transparency and high efficiency as usual.

He adds that by recycling and converting PET into exceptional, renewable goods through various applications that work while protecting the future, Deja demands more from their PET and less from the environment.

Chief Sustainability Officer at Indorama Ventures, Yashovardhan Lohia said that since IVL is one of the world’s leading producers of PET resin, it’s critical that they lead the way in terms of sustainability. They close the loop, delivering a circular economy and lowering carbon emissions, by encouraging the growth of recycling infrastructure and investing in innovative recycling and renewable technology.

He adds that their Deja brand provides consumers with a superior selection of flake, pellet, fiber, and filament options, all of which are made with sustainability in mind. By providing the right solutions without compromising, they are accountable to their consumers and the world. They accomplish this by valuing PET, rPET, and other renewable polymer technologies as a viable market and environmental resources.
