Indorama Ventures Public Co. Ltd. (IVL) has achieved ISCC+ certification for three additional fibre manufacturing sites, further expanding its portfolio of sustainable products, including polyamide (PA) and PET polyester chips, fibres, and fabrics. This certification aligns with the company’s commitment to providing eco-friendly solutions across various industries.
The newly certified high-performance fibre portfolio will cater to customers requiring robust and durable technical yarns, particularly in sectors such as mobility, tyre cords, airbags, and industrial and mechanical rubber goods.
Indorama Ventures will now offer mass-balanced PA 6.6 and 4.6 yarns from its sites in Obernburg, Germany, and Pizzighettone, Italy. These products, developed in collaboration with key partners, provide the same performance as standard PA yarns while reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by approximately 55% at the polymer level.
Additionally, the company will produce bio-based high-tenacity PA 4.10 mass-balanced yarn in Obernburg, specifically designed for tyre cords and specialty applications. This yarn is made from 100% bio-content polymer, using bio-based sebacic acid and di-amino butane (DAB), offering a sustainable alternative for high-performance applications.
