International Organic Accreditation Service (IOAS) has accredited SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, to expand its Textile Exchange product certification services to India.

This certification scheme includes the scope of Content Claim Standard (CCS) and Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) for product categories like textile, leather, plastic, paper and metal. This certification scheme has been delivered by SGS across Spain since 2021.

Further, it also includes the scope of Organic Content Standard (OCS); Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and RAF (covering Responsible Wool Standard RWS, Responsible Mohair Standard RMS and Responsible Alpaca Standard RAS) to the textile industry for any stage of the supply chain after the farm.

The manufacturers, traders, recyclers and brands from Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Tirupur will be benefitted by the full spectrum of Textile Exchange certification services offered by SGS.
