India Knit Fair held twice a year almost two decades needs to undergo changes

The three-day India Knit Fair, organised by Apparel Export Promotion Council, India Knit Fair Association and Tirupur Exporters Association, which was held from 6-8 May 2015 at IKFA complex Tripur offered the related professionals with the best manufactured equipments and raw materials which were beneficial and innovative for the qualified people working in this sector.

The event showcased spring/summer collections of apparels made by the textile entrepreneurs in Tirupur knitwear cluster to the potential buyers and buying agents.

The items on display included knitted T-shirts, children’s wear, trendy dresses for women and trousers meant for summer and spring seasons in 2016.

The fair featured leading knitwear exporting organizations from all over India. This event was a unique coming together of product and production facilities at one place making INDIA KNIT FAIR an ideal platform to build contact, develop business prospects, work on major tie-ups and partnerships

India Knit Fair saw more than hundreds exhibitors who provide products and services to the knitting industry. Products, such as, Sewing and Embroidery Yarns, Button, Snap, Rivet and Zipper, Clothing Sewing Machines, Quilting Machines, Embroidery Machines, Wool Yarn. Knitting Needles, Knitting Designer Books, Elastic Bands, Folding and Packing Machines were put on display at the fair.

The India Knit Fair Association is an Apex Body set up jointly by the Apparel Export Pomotion Council (Sponsored by Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India) and the Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA) to promote Knitwear Exporters and to maintain international quality standards in Knitwear Products.

Though the fair was held twice a year for almost two decades now, a large section of knitwear exporters felt that the fair need to undergo changes.
