I.S.T. unveils high-performance polyimide fiber

Industrial Summit Technology introduced IMIDETEX, an innovative polyimide fiber designed to revolutionize composite materials. With high tensile strength, the ability to withstand temperatures above 250°C, and minimal water absorption, IMIDETEX can withstand extreme applications.

When combined with carbon or glass fibers, IMIDETEX improves shock absorption, impact resistance, and weight reduction, all while maintaining structural stability. This combination allows manufacturers to create stronger and more adaptable materials, making them ideal for aerospace, automotive, telecommunications, and high-performance sports industries.

This fiber is lightweight, durable and has versatile properties. Instead of replacing traditional fibers, it enhances their performance, enabling companies to raise the quality and efficiency of their products while maintaining the advantages of carbon and glass fibers.

With sustainability becoming a top priority for industries, IMIDETEX offers an eco-friendly solution. Its long lifespan and high durability reduce material waste and the need for frequent replacements. Additionally, IMIDETEX is much more energy-efficient to produce than carbon fiber, generating around 80% less CO₂ emissions.
