Hugo Boss has introduced Eightyards, a wholly-owned subsidiary based in Metzingen, Germany, dedicated to reselling, reusing, and upcycling surplus textiles. The initiative aligns with Hugo Boss’s sustainability goals by extending the lifecycle of premium materials.
Led by former Hugo Boss employees Markéta Miltenberger and Placido Klitzke, Eightyards will transform unused fabrics into new products, including clothing, tote bags, shoe bags, and pillowcases. The company has already begun collaborating with fashion and telecommunications partners.
Hugo Boss CEO Daniel Grieder emphasized that Eightyards showcases internal innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, further supporting the brand’s circular economy efforts. By leveraging data-driven insights and sustainable sourcing, Eightyards aims to foster cross-industry partnerships and redefine textile waste management.
