Himatsingka Seide, a vertically integrated Home Textile major with a global footprint focusing on the manufacturing, retailing and distribution of Home Textile products, aiming to strengthen its distribution network has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary in Europe, namely Himatsingka Europe Ltd, which is registered with the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales on February 17, 2017.

This will help to strengthen the distribution network in Europe," Himatsingka Seide Limited said in a regulatory filing.

Himatsingka Seide Karnataka based company is engaged in home textiles and produces bed linen, fabrics for drapery and upholstery applications and silk & blended yarn.

On the manufacturing front, the Group operates amongst the largest capacities in the world for producing upholstery fabrics, drapery fabrics and bed linen products.

Spread across Asia, Europe and North America, its retail and wholesale distribution divisions carry some of the most prestigious brands in the Home Textile space and cater to Private Label programs of major retailers across these geographies.

Their products include silk/blended fabrics, spun silk/blended yarn, bed linen fabric and bed linen sets. The company products are offered across Germany, France, England, Italy, South America, Australia and USA.

The company operates through their spinning and weaving divisions. Himatsingka Filati, the spinning division, was established in technical collaboration with Filati Buratti of Italy, which produces a wide range of regular and fancy 100% silk and silk blended yarns and the weaving division offers yarn dyed decorative, bridal and fashion fabrics. The entire operation of winding, doubling, twisting, dyeing, weaving and finishing is integrated under one roof.

With a team of over 5000 people, the Group continues to expand its reach and build capacities in the Home Textile space.

Himatsingka Seide is currently trading at Rs 364.70, up by 1.30 points or 0.36% from its previous closing of Rs. 363.40 on the BSE.
