GTT and Golden Long John pioneer sustainable textile processes

Green Theme Technologies (GTT), creators of the waterless and PFAS-free EMPEL textile finishing platform, has partnered with Golden Long John to advance environmentally conscious fabric dyeing and finishing processes. Together, they are tackling one of the textile industry’s biggest challenges: reducing wastewater and chemical pollution caused by traditional manufacturing methods.

By introducing GTT’s EMPEL finishing platform into its Vietnam factories, Golden Long John has combined EMPEL’s high-performance water-repellent technology with its innovative direct dye process. This collaboration achieves exceptional fabric performance while drastically reducing pollution and water usage.

“We believe, Cleaner IS Better, and this is a big step forward for the fashion and textile industries,” stated Martin Flora, President of GTT Business Development. “Golden Long John’s direct dye application aligns perfectly with GTT’s vision for better performance and less environmental impact.”

The partnership has already gained traction with brands like Nike, which demand high-performance textiles that support sustainability goals. GTT and Golden Long John will showcase their groundbreaking technologies at the Functional Fabric Fair in Portland, Oregon, on November 20-21. As the textile industry seeks greener solutions, this collaboration represents a promising path toward cleaner, more efficient manufacturing practices.
