The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) will grant awards in the categories of "Sustainability and Innovation" and "International Cooperation" for the first time in 2022. The international forum's purpose is to support and promote environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable textile production throughout the value chain.

Around the world, businesses and organizations are devoting time and resources to developing and improving sustainable solutions. Another essential factor in today's complex environment is the growing need to collaborate with many partners from industry, research, and government. In light of this, the ITMF would like to honor companies, organizations, and/or individuals working in the textile value chain who are attempting to make a difference and have achieved excellent outcomes.

ITMF will recognize sustainable and creative achievements in the textile sector in the Invention & Sustainability category, with a focus on innovation, design, development, and production under the tightest criteria of sustainability and environmental respect.

In the Worldwide Cooperation Objective, the ITMF will recognize progress in the textile industry's international collaboration based on the ideals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to a press release from the ITMF, the jury will bestow these prizes on companies, organizations, or individuals who have significantly enhanced textile production through international partnerships.

The application date is January 29, 2022. The winners will be invited to Davos, Switzerland, in 2022 to present their achievements at the ITMF Annual Conference.
