Gina Tricot partners with We aRe SpinDye to release sustainable collection

Swedish fashion brand, Gina Tricot, has just released its first collection, which was produced in collaboration with We aRe SpinDye. The collection consists of coat, shirt, pants, and two bags, which are all dyed using We aRe SpinDye’s process and are part of Gina Tricot’s Gina Lab. innovation initiative.

Gina Tricot continues to focus on sustainability with the cooperation, now putting the coloring process front and center. 80% of the resources utilized during the entire life cycle of a garment – from raw material manufacturers to recycling – are used during the manufacturing process. To optimize the benefits of the sustainability transition, more attention must be paid to the entire production process, particularly the manufacturing process.

Emma Garrote, global production, and sustainability manager at Gina Tricot, said that Gina Tricot’s focus is on new processes and technologies in sustainability, so collaborating with We aRe Spin Dye feels like a natural fit for them. They get a product with more durable and circular fibers, as well as a more sustainable textile production with an emphasis on low water consumption when they combine their efforts. They are incredibly proud of this cooperation.

Andreas Andrén, CEO of We aRe SpinDye®, said that Gina Tricot is a remarkable example of a fast-moving business with quick decision-making. Both the design and production departments have been enthused. It was critical to get to today’s premiere of this collection.
