Arvind ,the textile major, which is known to produce some of the finest fabrics and exacting dresses for some of the world’s most quality conscious brands will be opening the first store of US-based fashion brand GAP in Delhi on May 30 (Saturday)
J Suresh, MD and CEO of Arvind Lifestyles Brands Ltd. said that they are excited that Gap, one of the world’s most iconic brands, is now available to their Indian customers through the terrific partnership between Gap and Arvind. Through the partnership, they plan to open up 40 stores across the country.
The store will be based in Select City Walk mall in Delhi. The store will have merchandise of Gap, GapKids and babyGap. The company is planning to open several stores of Gap in the first year of operations.
According to a media report, Arvind Lifestyle Brands is targeting to earn Rs 1,000 crore revenue from the brand in 5-6 years.
Gap Inc. products are available for purchase in more than 90 countries worldwide through about 3,300 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites.
