Italian luxury fashion brand Gabriela Hearst has introduced its first-ever eco-friendly sneaker line, named "Ohio." Made from 30% recycled materials, these sneakers reflect the brand’s commitment to sustainability and addressing climate change. The sneakers were debuted at Gabriela Hearst’s Spring/Summer 2025 show and emphasized craftsmanship while reducing the brand’s environmental impact.

Produced in Italy, the sneakers feature soles made from 30% recycled rubber and stitching crafted with 30% Global Recycled Standard-certified recycled polyester. The sole assembly process uses water-based glue, eliminating polyurethane and reducing chemical usage.

For the upper, laces, and lining, 100% Leather Working Group-certified leather has been used. A key design element is the leather laces, highlighted as a “signature textural detail” for the slip-on style. The sneakers also include an inner elastic ribbon, made entirely from natural rubber and recyclable polyester.

With the launch of the Ohio collection, Gabriela Hearst further strengthens its commitment to sustainable luxury, blending high-quality craftsmanship with environmentally conscious practices.
