Freudenberg Performance Materials receives EcoVadis silver medal

Germany-based Freudenberg Performance Materials (Freudenberg), has received its first EcoVadis Silver Medal for its two UK sites in Littleborough and Ebbw Vale.

At these two facilities, the business produces ostomy items and sophisticated wound care solutions. EcoVadis bestows the prize in recognition of the organization’s achievements in the areas of the environment, ethics, labor, human rights, and sustainable procurement. With its two sites in Ebbw Vale and Littleborough, Freudenberg Performance Materials LP now belongs to the top 25% of EcoVadis-rated businesses.

Dr. Henk Randau, General Manager and SVP of the Global Business Division Healthcare at Freudenberg Performance Materials, said that the continual application of their sustainability plan is confirmed by the positive EcoVadis assessment.

Randau added that they are methodically striving to reduce their footprint and increase their handprint. That means we are continually enhancing their energy efficiency and resource consumption while enabling their clients in the medical goods business to improve their processes and launch sustainable products.
