The 4th edition of Global 3D (G3D) Knitting Seminar & Workshop will be hosted by Shima Seiki USA. Inc., the US subsidiary of leading Japanese flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki, headquartered in Japan. On display, will be the cutting edge in computerised flat knitting technology, represented by the latest Wholegarment machines, computerised flat knitting machines, and 3D apparel design system.
Focus will be placed on Shima Seiki’s Total Fashion System featuring its MACH2XS Wholegarment knitting machine and SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system at its core. Special emphasis is placed upon applications in ecommerce, taking advantage of on-demand manufacturing and just-in-time inventory made possible with on-demand knitting capability of MACH2XS and virtual sampling capability on APEX3.
The seminar and workshop will not be limited to knit fashion, but will also include a wide range of new applications in knitting technology, including sports apparel, aerospace, and the IT industry. Keynote speakers will highlight the event, while proposals for quick product planning and execution are made for each of these fields through the combination of MACH2XS and APEX3.
Other notable displays include the compact SWG091N2 Wholegarment knitting machine that offers flexible production as well as the capability for producing technical textiles for sports, medical and other industrial applications.
The SRY183LP computerised flat knitting machine features two loop presser beds with inlay capability, offering new and exciting possibilities in hybrid knit-weave textiles. The SVR123SP computerised flat knitting machine also features a single loop presser bed for producing hybrid textiles.
The SSR112 workhorse machine features such industry-leading Shima Seiki innovations as digital stitch control system (DSCS) and spring-type moveable sinker system in a compact, economical package.
