Sportswear brand Fila, is collaborating with contemporary British menswear designer Oliver Spencer to launch a sustainably produced collection.

This collection is ecologically sourced and responsibly produced and is inspired by Fila's rich sportswear tradition and Wes Anderson’s 2001 cult classic movie The Royal Tenenbaums, and Spencer's laid-back tailoring. The collection features a range of vintage sportswear silhouettes and comes in a variety of colors and luxurious fabrics.

Fila classics like the Hayward Jersey Jacket, Benedict Polo, and matching Ari Jersey Shorts have been given a contemporary twist, with Spencer specially designing a terry-towel corduroy that is super-soft and rich in color, harkening back to the style of tennis icons from the 1980s.

The Royal Hoodie in ribbed cotton-velour jersey, which offers luxury loungewear with vintage style, straight-fit leg joggers, T-shirts with the appliqued ‘F-Box' emblem, and a lightweight, water-repellent rain jacket are among the other highlights.

The Franklin jersey jacket is inspired by Bjorn Borg's Fila headband worn in 1980 Wimbledon final versus John Mcenroe and is made from organic cotton and trimmed with a contrast stripe tape.

To pay homage to the iconic Fila colorways seen on and off the court for years, Hero pieces have been created in Oliver Spencer's Auckland Navy, Auckland Red, and Auckland Cream colors.

Oliver Spencer's company prioritizes sustainability, and this partnership continues the firm's efforts to offer ethically sourced, sustainable goods, with many of the pieces made of organic cotton. Even the collection's packaging is made from recycled and sustainable materials.

Spencer stated in a statement about the collection that he is extremely thrilled to be working with such a genuine, historical sporting brand. Working together to blend lifestyle and sportswear, they've created an intriguing collection that's being sold through Mr. Porter, their long-time collaborator. The collection has a vintage vibe to it, but it's also extremely current, and it incorporates all of their sustainable credentials.

Oliver Spencer, Fila, and Mr Porter will be the only stores carrying the collection. Mr Porter Health In Mind Fund backed by Movember, a fundraising and content campaign devoted to helping men live happier, healthier, and more rewarding lives, will get 10% of purchases from the menswear designer.
