Madrid-based denim manufacturer Evlox partnered with students from Qstura, a Catalan fashion and tailoring school known for its focus on sustainability and innovation, to repurpose denim samples from past seasons into new designs.

As part of the Upcycling by Evlox project, students transformed old denim garments into fresh creations. Working in teams, 14 students from Qstura’s Fashion and Textile Diploma developed five unique pieces using denim donated by Evlox.

Noemí Sánchez, Marketing Manager at Evlox, highlighted the project’s significance and stated, "At Evlox, we believe true innovation comes from reimagining the past. Our collaboration with Qstura demonstrates how denim waste can be transformed into something valuable. More importantly, it reinforces our commitment to educating the next generation of fashion professionals in sustainable practices."

Evlox actively supports young designers by providing fabrics, resources, and industry knowledge. The company has been involved in design competitions, student projects, and workshops that encourage creativity and sustainable innovation in fashion design.

Sánchez emphasized the importance of supply chain involvement in educating future designers and said, "Understanding the entire process—from raw materials to production and sustainability—is crucial for designers. By engaging with the supply chain, they gain a holistic view of how their creations impact the environment, economy, and society. This fosters responsible design and bridges the gap between creative vision and real-world manufacturing."
