EURATEX will collaborate with CEC and COTANCE in support of the EU TCLF Pact for Skills, aiming to establish regional partnerships focused on skills development. With backing from the European Commission DG GROW, the new SkillBridge project will assist in creating action plans involving regional authorities, local TCLF industry, and education providers to address evolving industry needs.
The TCLF SkillBridge project, alongside MetaSkills and Aequalis, aims to tackle the shortage of qualified labor in the TCLF industry. These initiatives align with the objectives set forth in the TCLF Pact for Skills and will involve engagement with stakeholders across the EU and beyond.
EURATEX Director General, Dirk Vantyghem, appreciates the support for TCLF industries through these initiatives. Addressing the skills gap and attracting youth with the required skills are crucial for strengthening the European textiles industry. Vantyghem emphasizes collaboration with regional authorities to design effective skills strategies tailored to local TCLF industries.
