Ergodyne launches protective products for workplace safety

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2024-12-13 16:15:30 – USA

Ergodyne, a company based in St. Paul, Minnesota, known for its tenacious work gear products, has introduced a new range of gloves, cut-resistant sleeves, and knee pads. These products are designed to encourage more widespread use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in workplaces.

"Workers consistently demand thinner gloves with better cut resistance," says Aaron Skemp, Senior Product Manager at Ergodyne. To meet these expectations, Ergodyne has developed its latest ProFlex gloves with a 21-gauge knit for improved flexibility and reduced bulk.

The ProFlex 7073 gloves offer high cut resistance with a nitrile coating. For wet or oily work environments, the ProFlex 7251 gloves provide strong grip and Level A5 protection. The ProFlex 7061 gloves, featuring a PU coating, are touchscreen-friendly and offer Level A6 cut resistance.

Skemp highlights that many injuries occur beyond the wrist, making cut-resistant sleeves equally important. However, workers often find current options uncomfortable or ineffective, as they can slip down the arm or leave wrists exposed.

Ergodyne's new ProFlex sleeves tackle these issues with thumb holes, pre-curved elbows, and adjustable straps for a secure fit. The ProFlex 7991 sleeves offer Level A9 cut resistance with a breathable design, while the ProFlex 7951 sleeves provide Level A5 cut resistance and heat protection up to 100°C for handling hot materials.

Ergodyne's ProFlex 575 knee pads feature a three-layer foam system and an ergonomic, pre-curved cap for a natural fit. These pads offer cushioning and stability, reducing strain on joints while walking, crawling, or kneeling.
