Efforts to strengthen Australia-China wool markets

Australian government delegation visited China to intensify relationship between Australian and Chinese wool industries, supported by Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), the owner of The Woolmark Company.

They intent to also provide ongoing technical and marketing support to many Chinese companies wanting to develop woollen fabrics, woollen garments and woollen products into the international and Chinese market.

CWTA are keen on developing close working relationship with The Woolmark Company as they can together bring the benefits of Australian Merino wool to Chinese companies, to Chinese consumers and to global markets. As many leading Chinese textile companies are making use of large quantity Australian Merino wool in their production.

As part of an AWI strategy to boost and support the Australian wool industry with the trade mission, extends its marketing efforts into China.
