eBay partners with circular fashion company ACS

US-based e-commerce company, Ebay has announced a new partnership with resale, sanitation, and repair experts Advanced Clothing Solutions (ACS), to assist businesses in entering the resale market and increase the platform’s selection of used goods.

Through the partnership, Ebay expects that the collaboration will help shops and brands develop and scale their resale products while giving customers additional options.

Other high street labels are expected to follow Monsoon in launching through ACS’ Ebay store.

The organization manages the logistics of item listings and shipping in addition to cleaning, sanitizing, and repairing used products, so they are ready for resale.

According to a press statement from Ebay, the alliance aims to take advantage of UK consumers’ growing preference for used goods, which is being fueled by the country’s rising cost of living and environmental concerns.

Additionally, it aims to dispel some myths about buying used goods while integrating ACS as a way to increase consumer confidence.

Lucy Peacock, head of Preloved at Ebay UK, said that there is a greater need to create a sustainable future in the fashion business as a whole. Since 1995, eBay has extended the life cycle of products, whether through consumer-to-consumer reselling or our Imperfects hub, so it’s fantastic to partner with ACS, who are leading the way in enabling the circular fashion economy.

Peacock added that pairing eBay’s reach among conscientious customers with ACS’ expertise in garment repair, resale, and recycling will help reduce waste in the fashion industry and showcase a more compassionate way to shop that benefits both people’s wallets and the planet.
