Eastman partners with Debrand to recycle textile waste into fibers

Eastman, a leading manufacturer of specialty materials, has initiated a partnership with circular solutions provider Debrand to repurpose textile waste into innovative fibres. Utilizing its molecular technology, Eastman aims to recycle 5,000 pounds of both pre- and post-consumer apparel waste sourced by Debrand to produce its branded cellulose acetate fibre.

Through this collaboration, Eastman demonstrates its commitment to sustainability by transforming discarded textiles into valuable resources. By leveraging Debrand’s expertise in circular solutions, the initiative aims to address the environmental challenges posed by textile waste while promoting the adoption of more eco-friendly manufacturing practices in the fashion industry.
