Specialist laminated fabric producer Dry-Tex has opened a new dyeing facility 120 miles south of Shanghai, China. It is now running at full capacity, dyeing nearly 70,000 metres of fabric a day.
According to the company, the machinery there is completely computer-controlled, allowing for improved colour consistency and quality control. The mill also has a membrane filtration system to allow 70% of water consumed during the dyeing process to be reused.
With the addition of these dyeing capabilities, Dry-Tex is now a vertically-integrated textile mill that also offers R&D, fabric testing, yarn manufacturing, weaving and lamination.
The company has plans to add new machines, so that it can generate and dye up to 120,000 metres of fabric a day.
