Dafiti, a subsidiary of the Global Fashion Group (GFG), is now ranked 7th in the FTIB – Fashion Transparency Index Brazil 2021. Fashion Revolution conducted the study, which analyzed, evaluated, and ranked the industry's top 50 companies based on their social and environmental policies, practices, and impacts across the whole value chain. Dafiti, Latin America's largest fashiontech, stays among the top 10 firms with the highest score in the index for the second year in a row, committed to changing the fashion ecosystem.
Cristiano Medeiros, Head of Sustainability, said that they’re pleased with this result, especially given Dafiti's progress in terms of transparency over the past year. They understand transparency as a common thread running across their value chain, and they'll keep working together for the greater good of fashion.
Medeiros explains that the year 2021 will highlight a continuing growth in Dafiti's sustainability journey, in keeping with the "People and Planet Positive Report" from Dafiti's parent business, Global Fashion Group. They published our sustainability targets this year, which are organized into five pillars: ethical trade, environment, community, work environment, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Dafiti Eco, which allows customers to shop in line with their sustainability values by combining thousands of items – including footwear, apparel, accessories, and beauty – that meet specific sustainable criteria, is one of the main initiatives that reflect Dafiti's sustainability agenda for customers.
Medeiros added that their progress in the FITB general score reaffirms their effort and dedication not only to the sustainability agenda, but also to a proactive role in informing, engaging, and raising awareness of the matter among our clients. Transparency is a strong tool for transformation, and it demonstrates our regard for our customers, suppliers, and partners.
