Crystal Denim, a subsidiary of the Crystal International Group, has announced a partnership with digital solutions provider Browzwear that will make digital twins of the company's speciality denim fabrics available to customers of the VStitcher 3D design platform. The connection will improve the capacity of denim apparel designers and producers to see designs in 3D with realistic detail, allowing for quicker and more extensive creative exploration. Furthermore, accurate digital clothing allows quicker, more sure-footed decision-making while facilitating collaboration through product development.
Crystal Denim has been utilizing Browzwear as part of its dedication to lowering carbon emissions and the company's overall environmental impact since 2008. Crystal Denim is a subsidiary of Crystal International Group Limited (CIGL), a global manufacturer that will deliver 410 million pieces of apparel to some of the top brands in the world in 2021. The denim division switched to 100% digital workflows in 2019 and cut sample production by more than 75% during the initial development stage, which also resulted in a considerable reduction in turnaround time, materials, energy and water consumption.
The partnership is a part of CIGL's commitment to collaborating with stakeholders throughout the industry to advance a more sustainable fashion future and will help other firms discover the advantages of 3D printing for efficiency and sustainability. The business, which has signed the UN Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action (UNFICCA) and is a participant in coalitions like the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and Global Fashion Agenda (GFA), is expanding its partnerships to hasten the decarbonization of the entire industry.
Miles Lam, Assistant General Manager of Sales and Business Development (Crystal Denim), said that Browzwear had been a crucial partner as they aim towards a net-zero emission future aligned with their Group's Net Zero 2050 objective, not only for their company but for their industry, overall. They’re happy to strengthen their partnership with Browzwear and think that by working together, they can create a better industry and a happier earth.
Hanan Lifshitz, VP of Product at Browzwear, stated that Crystal Denim and Browzwear share the dedication to revolutionizing the fashion sector and leveraging technology to assist businesses to do better economically while doing so environmentally. Crystal Denim's desire to share tools and innovations with others has given them a competitive edge in the difficult fashion sector and served as proof of their lofty aspirations. In order to spark the changes the world needs, they look forward to working closely with the company.
The Crystal Denim fabric library will be accessible in the VStitcher 2021.3 Edition and included in a number of new learning tools for denim design with VStitcher, such as the recently held Creators Lab: Denim webinar and a new Browzwear University course on using VStitcher for denim design.
