Everpress, a marketplace allowing creators to design their own t-shirts, has received a B Corp certification in recognition of its efforts in the areas of social responsibility and the environment.
After being evaluated on its impact in five categories—workers & community, diversity, equity, inclusion, and economic impact—the platform received an overall score of 92.
Alex Econs, founder of Everpress, said that B Corp certification is an incredible achievement for a tiny business like theirs. Although this is a significant accomplishment, the task is not finished; "better" is always in sight, and they are constantly working to prioritize their social and environmental effect.
Everpress, which was founded in 2016, has made a name for itself as a platform that seeks to empower grassroots and independent creators. It uses a pre-order approach that it claims offers a more responsible way to create and shop.
In an effort to move toward more environmentally friendly practices, the business introduced its Everpress Classic Tee in 2022. To save waste, it is packaged in one polybag for every 100 shirts and made in a Sedex-monitored workshop. The shirt is "the most inclusive" available because it comes in sizes XXS to XXXXXL.
The nonprofit network's stringent evaluation process, which has established high requirements for social and environmental performance, openness, and accountability, is what businesses must go through to get the B Corp designation.
