Cos launches garments with recycled cotton from pre-owned products

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2025-02-18 15:59:12 – United Kingdom

Cos, a brand under the H&M Group, has introduced Cos Remade, a denim capsule collection partially made from previously worn Cos garments. The newly launched collection incorporates 20 percent recycled cotton sourced from pre-owned Cos pieces, collected through Cos Restore—an in-store initiative that cleans and repairs gently used garments for resale.

For garments beyond repair, Cos Restore identifies recycling possibilities, repurposing unblended fabrics such as cotton and wool into new clothing. “The limited-edition collection gives fibers renewed purpose, reimagining wardrobe staples with a thoughtful fusion of utilitarian design and artistic expression,” the brand stated.

All fabrics used in the Cos Remade collection contain 20 percent recycled cotton, with some blended with 80 percent organic cotton, while others consist of 60 percent organic cotton and 20 percent conventional cotton.

The five-piece women’s collection features dark-wash statement pieces, including a boat-neck top with an integrated scarf and an elongated top crafted from a single piece of fabric that wraps around the body. Outerwear includes a funnel-neck jacket with a rounded, oversized bomber-style silhouette. The collection’s bottoms feature barrel-leg trousers and a straight midi skirt with a side slit, designed for layering or standalone wear. Each piece is finished with white contrast stitching.

The circular denim line is accompanied by Cos’ regular spring denim collection, which includes oversized shirt dresses, wet-effect denim skirts, organic cotton wide-leg jeans, and button-down shirts.
