On 19th January 2021, Contec came up with its ReFIBE sterile cleanroom polyester wipes made from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles.

From bottles to wipes, the plastic bottles were first shredded and cleaned then melted into yarn and finally knitted into sterile & nonsterile wipes.

The wipes are laser cut with edges heat-sealed, ReFIBE is cleanroom laundered and made with 100% polyester.

Amy Russ, global project manager for Cleanroom Division at Contec says ReFIBE has been a fulfilling project to take on, ReFIBE they are providing their customers a sustainable alternative and will bring more innovations and improvements in the existing product range.
