Columbia Sportswear, renowned for its outdoor gear, has joined forces with Intuitive Machines, a space exploration company, to pioneer sustainable human habitation on the Moon. Their collaboration focuses on integrating Columbia’s advanced heat insulation technology, Omni-Heat™ Infinity, into Intuitive Machines’ lunar lander, Nova-C, to protect it from the harsh lunar environment.

Intuitive Machines' researchers have validated the efficacy of Columbia’s Omni-Heat Infinity fabric, featuring a gold metallic foil, in shielding the Nova-C lander from temperatures ranging from -250° to 250° Fahrenheit. This partnership builds on a longstanding commitment to innovation and exploration, with both companies dedicated to pushing boundaries and expanding human horizons.

Dr. Haskell Beckham, Columbia Sportswear’s Vice President of Innovation, lauded the collaboration's potential to create groundbreaking products that enhance outdoor experiences worldwide.
