Circular Library launches sustainable concept store in American market

The Circular Library project, initiated by a Korean sustainable store, has made its debut in the American market in collaboration with sustainable fashion brands LE CASHMERE and RE;CODE. Positioned as a concept store, Circular Library has found its place along Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice, CA. The store upholds the principles of circularity and sustainability, offering more than just merchandise. It features upcycled workshops, musical experiences, inspiring art installations, and narratives promoting sustainability.

Brandon Yu, at the forefront of the Circular Library project, expressed excitement about the inaugural store. He emphasized its role as a communal space hosting local artist exhibitions, workshops, and yearly gatherings, all centered around the themes of sustainability and fashion.

During the store’s opening, LE CASHMERE took the spotlight for ethically sourcing naturally shed sheep hair. On the other hand, RE;CODE showcased a diverse range of sustainable clothing items, including jackets, sweaters, bags, tops, bottoms, dresses, skirts, and more. The entire store featured installations showcasing sustainability, such as oval-shaped décor made from unused airbags and fabrics repurposed from backpacks.

Situated in Venice, CA, Abbot Kinney Blvd. serves as a hub for sustainable brands like Everlane, Allbirds, and Vuori, fostering a community dedicated to sustainability in lifestyles. Circular Library, in collaboration with these brands, actively contributes to the ongoing discourse on sustainability. Every detail of the space, from the bricks used to the exposed copper pipes, reflects the store’s commitment to circularity.
