Cestrian Imaging, a digital textile printing company to meet the increasing demand for fabric printed displays on apparel will be the first company in the UK to install Italian machinery manufacturer EFI Reggiani’s ‘Pro 340’ inkjet printer.
It will allow them to print larger volumes, ensure quicker turnarounds and more cost-effective prices. It will keep Cestrian ahead of the curve, open new markets and help them grow.
This particular addition will allow Cestrian to deliver just-in-time designs for freestanding fabric walls, light boxes and other fabric displays.
The 3.4m-wide eight-colour printer, which is said to be replacing two of Mimaki’s ‘JV5’ machines at Cestrian’s production factory in Cheshire, is said to have 16 ink channels with drop sizes of 4-72pl, and can print at resolutions of up to 2,400dpi.
It can also reportedly print on polyester, cotton, cotton-linen, polyamide, viscose and wool textiles from 30 to 450gsm at speeds of up to 800sqm/hr.
They also liked the ability to print fluorescent inks. These inks produce bright colours beyond the range reproducible by process colour printing, while the availability of 16 ink channels guarantees smooth gradations.
Cestrian’s production director Paul Gibson said that they liked the quality, speed and reliability, from a brand you can trust to deliver what they promise.
Cestrian have been helping Britain’s biggest brands meet their communication needs for over 20 years, with their in-house, market leading large format digital printing facility. At Cestrian, they have created a “one stop shop†for all printing needs.
