Carrington Textiles unveils flame-resistant and sustainable workwear innovations

Global flame-resistant fabric manufacturer, Carrington Textiles, is set to exhibit its newest developments in stretch flame-resistant and sustainable workwear products at Intersec in Dubai in January 2024. Their latest creation, Flametougher 290AS Flex, represents a notable advancement in electrical arc flash protection. This innovative stretch FR fabric combines CORDURA® nylon 6,6 for certified strength with EOL fibers by XLANCE® for elasticity and comfort. It aims to enhance safety for professionals working in environments with a risk of electrical arc flashes.

Carrington Textiles is also unveiling a variety of new flame-resistant products, such as Flameflex 300AS, Flametuff Satin 250 AS, and Flameshield Satin 425, which achieves an impressive class 2 rating for welding protection. These offerings provide superior defense against flames and heat, ensuring the safety of workers in high-risk industries.

In line with sustainability goals, the textile manufacturer is expanding its range of lightweight inherent FR fabrics from the Flameban family. These incorporate Lenzing fibers, an eco-friendly alternative with a cellulosic base that enhances comfort and provides exceptional flame resistance. This is ideal for professionals seeking both protection and comfort.

As part of their commitment to sustainability, Carrington Textiles introduces Tahoe at Intersec 2024—a stretch workwear fabric containing 29% REPREVE® recycled polyester. Tahoe, with 20% stretch due to 4% EOL fibers by XLANCE®, not only reduces environmental impact but also offers flexibility and durability for demanding work environments. These innovations emphasize Carrington Textiles’ focus on safety, comfort, and sustainability in their product offerings.
