Spanish material sciences company, Recoverâ„¢ and European retailer, C&A, are joining forces in a new strategic four-year agreement to deliver high-quality recycled cotton to everyday garments. C&A's Clockhouse series will be the first collection created with Recoverâ„¢ fiber to hit stores in April, demonstrating the two firms' strong commitment to circularity.
Aleix Busquets Gonzalez, Director Global Sustainability at C&A., said that more sustainable fashion cannot be viewed as a niche product. Their collaboration with Recover is a watershed moment on their journey to a more sustainable future marked by high-quality apparel at accessible prices.
C&A and Recoverâ„¢ both have decades of experience in their fields and a proven track record of increasing circularity. The alliance is driving transformation to make recycled cotton a core ingredient in a more sustainable fashion sector, with Recover serving as the primary cotton source thanks to its considerable expertise and scaling capabilities. Recover will integrate its fiber into C&A's supply chain and give technical assistance to help spinners and weavers maximize yarns and textiles. C&A, as one of Europe's biggest retailers, brings with it the required demand to create a long-term effect on the sector.
lejandro Raña, Chief Business Development Officer at Recover™, said that in keeping with their act-as-one philosophy, they’re thrilled to contribute Recover's experience and tech support to their partnership with C&A through the integration of their fiber into their supply chain. They are assuring a significant and lasting impact on the industry by combining a long-term commitment with high production quantities.
C&A's Clockhouse line will be the first to feature Recover fiber, and it will be available in April.
C&A has established a new research and development facility in Monchengladbach, Germany, that uses cutting-edge technology to create next-generation sustainable apparel.
Recoverâ„¢ innovative business model of being able to deliver recovered fiber to any brand without compromising on style, quality, or pricing is further validated by their collaboration. The partners hope to create a strong and scalable circularity ecosystem in Europe, with a better future based on post-consumer materials, by working together.
