Boogie, Twist and Swing are names for new fabrics

Keeping with it’s sock hop celebration theme, the company is releasing a collection of Celliant Home textiles with names like Boogie, Twist and Swing. Celliant textiles are already used in a wide range of products including bedding and athletic apparel.

Currently, the company has exclusive manufacturing and distribution rights on Celliant for the contract and home furnishings fabric markets in North America, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Decorative Fabrics of America is unveiling its new Celliant Home brand of performance textiles at Showtime and celebrating the launch with a three-day sock hop.

Bob McKinnon, president of Decorative Fabrics of America said that, “We’re turning back the clock and getting ready to rock around it,” Also, “To introduce the first-ever collection of responsive woven textiles for the home — produced using a patented blend of thermo-reactive minerals infused into the core of the fiber — we’re giving our market guests a pair of professional athletic socks made with Celliant technology. We want them to personally experience how our exclusive responsive woven textiles interact with the body, recycling its natural energy emissions to promote more energy and less fatigue.”

He added that, “We invite market goers to experience the energy and all the fun typically associated with an old-fashioned sock hop, from diner food and ice-cold bottled Cokes to the great music of the era.”

McKinnon said that, “It may sound like science fiction, but Celliant technology is clinically proven to enhance tissue oxygen levels, which translates to more fuel for your body,” Also, “It’s based on three fundamental scientific principles: Your body emits heat, certain naturally occurring minerals absorb heat and emit infrared energy, and the infrared energy is recycled back into the skin and tissue improving circulation and increasing tissue oxygen in a safe and natural way.”
