Bolt Threads mushroom leather- Mylo is now vegan-certified

After successful completion of the Eurofins Chem-MAP’s Vegan Verification program, which involves analysis of all inputs for the presence of animal DNA, Bolt Threads’ Mylo substance has been certified as a vegan material.

The Vegan Verification testing method is a robust process that assures the clothing and footwear industry the assurance that products sold and labeled as vegan do not contain any animal byproducts. The DNA analysis using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) is comprehensive since it can detect all fish, mammals, birds, insects, crustaceans, and mollusk species in a single test.
