BOKSER Textiles, a leading provider of hospitality textiles, has announced its adoption of CiCLO technology, a groundbreaking innovation aimed at minimizing microplastic pollution from synthetic fabrics. This marks a significant industry milestone, as BOKSER becomes the first to integrate this patented biodegradable textile ingredient into its products.
The newly launched Shoreline Collection of Top Sheets, crafted from recycled polyester and enhanced with CiCLO technology, sets a new benchmark for sustainability in the hospitality linens sector. With hotels laundering large volumes of textiles daily, the shedding of synthetic fibers contributes significantly to global microplastic pollution. By incorporating CiCLO, BOKSER ensures that synthetic fibers like polyester and nylon maintain their durability and high-performance standards while acquiring the ability to biodegrade at rates similar to wool.
“At BOKSER, our mission is to be the most affordable supplier of sustainable hospitality textiles. Collaborating with Intrinsic to introduce CiCLO technology into our products represents a major step forward in safeguarding our planet for future generations,” said Ed Guzek, President of BOKSER.
Hector Torres, Global Sales Director, Home & Hospitality at Intrinsic Advanced Materials, echoed this sentiment, stating, “We are excited to partner with BOKSER to bring CiCLO technology to hotels across the country. This collaboration not only delivers the comfort of high-quality, sustainable bedding but also helps drive the hospitality industry towards a more environmentally responsible future.”
