Jeanologia, a globally renowned textile technology manufacturer, will join hands with BGMEA, to assist Bangladesh's RMG sector in implementing cutting-edge procedures and technologies in order to boost productivity and sustainability. Enrique Silla, the founder and CEO of Jeanologia, and Faruque Hassan, the president of the BGMEA, met on August 30 in Hassan's office in Dhaka, where they both stated their commitment to working together.
Mostafiz Uddin, the founder and CEO of Bangladesh Apparel Exchange and the managing director of Denim Expert Ltd., Tarin Choudhury, the country director for Bangladesh, and Manuj Kanchan, the division director for CEA, were also in attendance. The Centre of Innovation Efficiency and OSH will get assistance from Jeanologia in order to disseminate the most recent textile technology and processes throughout Bangladesh's RMG sector. The Center, created by BGMEA, intends to provide the RMG industry with the information, skills, and technical understanding it needs to meet present difficulties and improve its competitiveness.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan said the collaboration with Jeanologia, is a result of BGMEA's dedication and ongoing efforts to seek the expansion of the RMG business in a sustainable manner that has a beneficial influence on people and the environment. The worldwide garment business consumes a significant quantity of freshwater, primarily from groundwater. Leading clothing companies worldwide are concentrating on lowering water use during the production of clothing. The BGMEA has vowed to diversify its source mix and lessen reliance on groundwater resources.
Faruque Hassan continued that by 2030, BGMEA hopes to cut its water footprint by up to 50% from the level it now has. Adopting such eco-friendly solutions is essential in its ongoing quest to attain excellence in sustainability.
Enrique Silla, Jeanologia CEO, said water will be the key cost factor in the near future, thus by assisting Bangladesh in becoming a waterless textile center, they will be able to align the economic interests of both the earth and their clients, who are members of the BGMEA.
Innovative washing techniques created by Jeanologia help items use less water and thereby cause less pollution to enter the aquatic ecosystem.
