Scandinavian outdoor brand, Bergans of Norway, has partnered with Trimco Group, a brand identity specialist, to launch a subscription-based option for kidswear, allowing parents to order and return specific snowsuits or coveralls for the winter season, as well as re-order a different size when the child has outgrown the garment.
Bergans is responsible for receiving, repairing, cleaning, and reimpregnating the returned garment so that it can be reused. The subscription is a fantastic cost-effective effort that eliminates the need to buy a new snowsuit every season, a great educational tool that teaches future generations about the benefits of reuse and recycling, and a great way to extend the life of a garment.
Bergans has tasked Trimco Group with developing a digital solution to optimize the outdoor brand's efforts in this endeavor to ensure a smooth process. Trimco Group has developed a QR Code-based app, to manage the return and rental program for coveralls, as part of the brand's "Long live the product" initiative. Bergans will be able to better manage the project's inventory with the help of the easy solution, which will make everything more efficient and accurate with only one scan.
Because of the solution proposed by Trimco, Bergans will be able to quickly receive, send, and track items coming in for repairs or rental; Reduce or eliminate inaccuracy due to misplaced items; Always have an overview of the items’ status (repairs needed, location etc.); Easily manage inventory; Gain knowledge on product use for future development; and Reduce or eliminate inaccuracy due to misplaced items. The QR code tracking system is set to go live in April 2022.
Bergans of Norway is an environmentally conscious company that aims to "guide and inspire towards a sustainable future." Bergans designs outdoor clothing and equipment that is inspired by nature. Their goal is to create long-lasting apparel that will reduce carbon emissions over time.
