UK-based Bash-P International opened the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region’s first dedicated lifting webbing factory in Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) on May 6. The $20 million facility in SAIF Zone will manufacture nylon/ polyester webbing material ranging from 25mm to 300mm wide to meet the group’s in-house and market demands.

The official grand opening was done by Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, director of SAIF Zone and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA). After the opening, Al Mazrouei said that they welcome Bash-P International’s nylon webbing manufacturing facility to SAIF Zone and it is encouraging to see more international companies flocking to SAIF Zone, which is surely a sign that they are progressing in the right direction.

SAIF Zone houses 6,800 companies from across 149 nations, welcoming foreign investment from more than 500 industries.

They are planning to have another Grade-80 chain manufacturing unit similar to the one they commissioned in Cochin (India) early this year, said Basheer .

The $210 million net-worth Safety Services Group has major expansion projects coming up across Middle East and Asia within the next two years.
