Bangladesh Cotton Association (BCA) with the support and co-operation of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) is organizing a two day global summit and has invited buyers and seller to attend this international trade event to help support its textile and clothing exports.

Bangladesh, the world's second largest cotton importer and it imports more than 90 percent, or 5.5 million bales of cotton annually.

The textile and clothing sector accounted for $24 billion of Bangladesh's $25 billion of goods exports in the fiscal year to end-June 2014.

Tapan Chowdhury, the President of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association at a news conference on Wednesday said that they plan to raise their ready-made garments and textile exports to $50 billion by 2021.

The GLOBAL COTTON SUMMIT - BANGLADESH will take place on 20 & 21 March, 2015 at Hotel Radisson blu water garden, Dhaka. They are expecting 500 delegates from home and abroad to attend. During the two days, there will be selections of presentations.

Hon’ble Minister for Textile and Jute, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has agreed to inaugurate the Summit.

BCA will provide an excellent opportunity for networking to delegates. A gala dinner followed by Cultural show will be held on the concluding day i.e. March 21, 2015 in the Celebration Hall of Hotel Raddisson blu water garden.
