ASICS subsidiary, ASICS Ventures Corporation, has invested in Seevix Material Sciences Ltd., which was set in 2014 following more than a decade of academic research in the Hebrew University in Israel. Seevix produces a patented artificial spidersilk called SVX, which holds natural spidersilk’s extraordinary elasticity and strength. SVX spidersilk is lasting, yet biodegradable and sustainable.
Seevix manufactures SVX via biomimicry at a controlled fermenter-based procedure. SVX is a bio berry usable silk, together with sustainability attributes possessing the fibre’s natural properties, to create thinner, lighter and harder products on a commercial scale, according to ASICS.
Seevix and the ASICS Institute of Sport Science will collectively develop sporting goods using SVX spidersilk. (ASICS Growth Plan (AGP) 2020) is to create distinguished innovation. ASICS has continued to introduce innovative technologies into our products to improve both sustainability and functionality, and has shifted to sustainable substances, including those deriving from biotechnology, by cooperating with external partners. ASICS aims to contribute to a circular economy while producing innovative products, solutions, and processes that significantly change customers’ experiences and lifestyles,” the firm said in a statement.
Innovative Digital Technology, and Sustainability.
