EcoVadis
Archroma, global color and specialty chemicals company, announced the renewal of its EcoVadis “Platinum” status and further improvement of its overall rating.
Following a thorough evaluation by EcoVadis that looked at 21 criteria divided into 4 themes — Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement — Archroma increased its score by 4 points (from 78/100 to 82/100). This was largely because of its ongoing efforts in sustainable procurement, which center on supply chain transparency and sharing best practices with suppliers and other companies in the same sector.
A limited assurance was done on a number of key ESG measures, including CO2 emissions, water consumption, workplace safety, and gender diversity, according to a report by KPMG included in the report. The audit was successfully completed by Archroma, providing yet another confirmation from a third party of the company’s unwavering dedication to its ESG objectives and roadmap.
Danielle Blomert, chief sustainability officer at Archroma, added that their purpose is to lead their industry toward a more sustainable future for their customers and markets, and they are doing everything they can to execute that objective.
Daniel Madueno, global head of Quality Management, said that they consider sustainability as a genuine team effort, and the renewed EcoVadis designation as a reward to the hard work and ambition of all my colleagues to reach and maintain the highest ESG standards every day, everywhere.
